It’s a very busy weekend coming up in Charleston. There’s the Southeastern Wildlife Expo, and also the Lowcountry Blues Bash. There should be a whole lot of people in town for the two events. As a result, it is typically a very busy week in real estate. A good time to get a great deal in real estate is just after a busy event or holiday. Many sellers hope that they will have increased activity on their homes during these times, and that is often the case. However, if activity did not increase, and the busy time is past, sellers can feel discouraged, and may be more likely to negotiate in terms of price, rather than face the prospect of several more months on the market. Speaking of which, does anyone want to buy a relatively new home in Old Mount Pleasant, five minutes from the beach, for under 650K? My parents are almost ready to move into their new house in McClellanville, and I have their home listed in Old Mt. Pleasant.
