Charleston MLS Showings Report

Below you’ll find the Centralized Showing Service report, updates through the end of last week. This report shows the number of home showings were conducted in the Mt. Pleasant area, on a weekly basis. We have them for all areas in Charleston, so if you’d like info on the real estate market in your particular part of town, let me know and I can provide it. We see a decline in numbers of showings from the end of April to the beginning of May, but we are still above March numbers. Due to the large numbers of showings, there is an increased number of homes currently under contract, which will equate to increased sales in late June and early July. However, we still fully expect a continuing decline in prices over the foreseeable future. This trend is expected to continue until more and more buyers enter the market place, and we reach a six month supply of homes on the market. At this point, home prices will stabilize.
